It's Friday evening, a friend of mine comes to my practice with her child. The kid got a hockey stick on his nose about two hours ago. Before they came, they were in the clinic. Here suspicion: broken nose. No concussion was found. wound was taken care of. They should come back on Sunday. My joy that I could now take homeopathic care for the child disappeared as soon as I saw the child... It looked bad. His face was bleeding and swollen much worse than I imagined and he was miserable. He vomited as soon as he sat on my couch. His gaze was distant and scared. Under no circumstances should you touch his face. All of these symptoms showed the drug picture Arnica. I gave him a pill of Arnica M, also called C1000 and waited five minutes. There was no change in the eyes. Then an Arnica XM. No improvement. I gave an Arnica LM and after a few minutes he was no longer nauseous. So I sent the mother home with the child and said I'd be there in fifteen minutes. They didn't live far from me. When I got to the patient's house about half an hour later, the boy was lying in bed and had stopped vomiting. The eyes were clearer, the swelling had already gone down and I was allowed to gently wash the blood off his face. Now an egg-spoonful of Arnica LM solution should be given every hour except when he is sleeping. The next day he hardly had a headache, his nose was much better and the shock had completely gone from his eyes.
